Abstract
Tevfik Fikret Türk edebiyatının en kuvvetli şairlerinden biridir. Bir
Servet-i Fünun şairi olarak estetik değeri yüksek şiirler yazmış, bu eser
leriyle aydınları ve gelecek nesilleri etkilemiştir. Böylece Türk şiirinin
Batılılaşmasında önemli bir rol oynamıştır.
Onun şiirlerinden etkilenenlerden biri de Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’
tür. Atatürk “Cumhuriyet sizden fikri hür, irfanı hür, vicdanı hür nesil
ler ister” diyerek şairin sözünü gençliğe hedef olarak gösterir.
Bu çalışmada Tevfik Fikret’in bir dörtlüğü ele alınmıştır. Bu dört
lük anlam ve şiirsellik bakımından incelenmiştir.

in Turkish literature. As a prominent figure of the Servet-i Fünun mo
vement, he composed poetry of exceptional aesthetic merit, profoundly
shaping the thought of intellectuals and inspiring successive generati
ons. Through these works, he played a pivotal role in the Westernization
of Turkish poetry.
Among those deeply influenced by his verse was Mustafa Kemal
Atatürk. In a well-known statement, Atatürk declared: “The Republic
demands generations from you that are free in thought, free in wisdom,
and free in conscience,” thereby presenting the poet’s words as an en
during ideal for the youth.
The present article examines a specific quatrain by Tevfik Fikret,
analyzing it in terms of both its semantic depth and its poetic artistry.
